Strategic Mobility Group, LLC Announces Be The Good Canned Food Drive

SMG3 donating to local food pantry throughout November

Strategic Mobility Group, LLC (SMG3) a leading technology solutions provider, will be holding their annual food drive throughout the month of November. All canned goods collected will be donated to the Schaumburg Township Food Pantry. The initiative aims to support hungry families facing economic hardship.

Nancy Gorski, President and CEO of SMG3, expects this to be the most successful food drive to date.

“Every year we try and outdo our previous humanitarian effort. Following a successful breast cancer awareness campaign, we are excited to continue the spirit of giving into November,” says Gorski.

Gorski continues, “It is always our objective to make a positive impact on the local community. The holiday season is supposed to be a joyous and happy time, yet it can be a tremendous strain for those who do not have enough to eat. SMG3’s mission is to address a critical need, and work to reduce the burden on families in desperation.”

According to USDA, more than 41 million Americans face hunger, including nearly 13 million children. Some of the groups experiencing the highest rates of food insecurity include households with children led by single women and people living below the poverty level. In addition, about a quarter of food-insecure households report incomes that make them ineligible for any form of federal food assistance.

Strategic Mobility Group will be accepting canned goods and non-perishable food items through the end of November. Donations can be made between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to SMG3’s main office located at 1201 Wiley Rd., Schaumburg, IL.

In addition to their canned food drive, SMG3 has been active in numerous community initiatives including an annual coat drive, breast cancer awareness, Toys for Tots, Wounded Warriors, PADS, Children’s Memorial, and Medical Ministry International, among other inspiring organizations.
